cx-803 JB 4.22 JDfense ROM 1.0

[JDfense]

Here we go with a JB 4.22 ROM for the cx-803 ROM. I assume the source is a stock rom, but the chinese forum has no clear information, but a lot of different versions of this ROM.

Features

1) Rooted with an updated SU and koush Superuser.apk that works with 4.2.2

2) Debloated

3) init.d support

4) added launcher from finless 2.1 rom ---LauncherNEW.apk

5) added file explorer hd, terminal emulator

6) Tattman bootanimation

7) Busybox Wraitdu 1.19.4

8) 1gb and up to 4gb parameter files available for more APP space.

9) samsung fingerprint for Play Store compatibility

10) Petrus reboot APP is added

For using:
change the kernel.img in the ROM with the extra kernel obove.
Flash the kernel better with all files of the ROM. You can flash the kernel alone, but you could get side effects you don't want.

hi mr JDfence!

i justo wanted to inform I downloaded your ROM for my CX803 TV Stick.
it seems there is no problem with WiFi , nor with "no sound" problem , as with Finless' Roms.
The only thing I just noticed is the big resolution letters in the main "apps" screen.

i will do some more tests later.

I don't have the stick, so I could not see the screen icons. Could you explain more or maybe it is possible to adjust the resolution in the settings.

well I own this stick: http://www.geekbuying.com/item/1080P...-White-314266/

and using the LauncherNEW.apk ,made to my screen big letters when accessing the APP drawer.
No problem though when using the classical launcher, so it is ok.
I am trying to use the stick only with XBMC, had some restarts. I found another original kernel. Will continue to report.

Every thing works fine.
Please can you add lock screen option in your rom, or if there is any workaround to add this function in your current rom

Kernel version is 3.0.36+
Some where on Internet i found following method, is it possible in your rom

"I copied the stock Settings.apk and SettingsProvider.apk from a working "normal" tablet, where Lock Screen menu was visible under Security settings to a SD card, and installed both from the SD card on the tablet missing the Lock Screen option.
After this the updated Settings application had the the Lock Screen option under Security allowing setting a pin code.
After reboot the tablet returns to the original Settings without Lock Screen option, but the lock screen appears and will need the pin you entered before reboot.
This cannot be undone unless doing a factory reset I believe, so be sure to disable "power button instantly locks" and to set the other options available after entering the pin code with care.
But screen lock almost indispensable when traveling."

Mmh. This seems to be a bad implementation, when you have to reset the whole rom to get back. Maybe we find a better solution.

Okay guys, I have fixed both links in the first post.

Seems to work great except...

When I install XBMC it goes through startup prep and then goes to black screen. with stock rom this didnt happen. Also the terminal emulator doesnt load it just starts and quits...

Any ideas?
