I do have static address on the Ethernet port. Sambadroid will not start.
I had to reboot since once the wifi settings got stuck it wouldn't do anything anymore.
I'll try to play with it some more later.

Bob do you mean when you turn ethernet on the hotspot. Certain apps like play store wont say waiting for network while downloading I get that alot when im using ethernet. Where it says no network connection

Yes this is what I mean. Now I am pissed off as I cannot recreate what I did. But at one point I had ethernet hooked up and turned off wifi. Then I setup a wifi hotspot and connect my tablet to it. From that point on, everthything worked over ethernet and I had no issues. But now I cannot recreate what I did

I found option in Sambadroid to Bind interfaces, any idea if that can be used to get it workin?

It's 720p standard and only 2.0 sound via optical output.

I do have an earlier kernel from an earlier ROM that is 1080. I will put it in my ROM kit incase someone wants to use it as an alternative kernel and real 1080. By default my ROM will use the latest kernel which is 720.

I hear that Minix is working on a new 1080 kernel so we shall see.

And yes I like this unit because everything is there! I do not have to go buy dongles and worry if they work or not with the device. ALso wifi works really well for me. Better than any of the TV sticks so far. Nice strong and fast signal. I also like having 3 USB Ports!

I get my X5 today.

1. HDMI port is broken. I must very strong push cable and it works but I just touch cable and have "no signal".
2. OTG port do not works. Device can't detect any pendrive or HDD, my PC can't detect X5.
3. SD card reader do not works - any cards can't be blocked. Cards pops up immediately as I put it so the card reader does not read any cards.

Device is new.
I wasted 103$

Alex Wong from aliexpress I known, on aliexpress exist "dispute" but shipping package to china is very expensive.

thats why i stick to the same guy,
he may cost a couple dollars more,but its worth it for piece of mind,
being one day old,you should have no issues.
pc does not see it out of box,you need to load drivers for it,

That will not help you with shipping it back for replacement.
If it doesn't even connect drivers are useless

Ok. I get another HDMI cable and another OTG cable... and it works!!!

But SD card reader is still f**ked up and I dont known how to fix it
