    MK808 and MK808B 1080 JB Kernels (All Models) in the HOUSE! NOW including JB 4.2.2

    UPDATE March 30, 2013. I am now doing JellyBean 4.2.2 Kernel MODs. I have now added the MK808B Original and the MK808 NON-B!

    See the download below for JB 4.2.2 True 1080P kernel mods!




    Hey folks.... As we all know, there have been no sources for the many MK808B models!
    So 1080 kernels have never existed!

    Well UNTIL NOW

    Using Dero's kernel binary patch process I have made kernels for you MK808B guys!

    But let me tell you this is NOT EASY!
    For JB 4.2.2 everything changed from 4.1.1! I had to decompile and look for specific code...
    Dero's post helped, but I spent 6 hours cracking/hacking the code to find exactly what to patch.
    It was not easy folks...
    Working from a decompiled binary..... IS NOT EASY!
    But I had fun and learned a lot from the experience

    I will try later to do more 1080 kernels for those that do not have 1080 kernels.
    Please try to refrain from asking me over and over!

    Also for now, do not ask me for custom resolutions!
    I have not figured out the values yet!!!
    Maybe I will in the future!

    ROM -> MK808B Sunvel Clone Finless 1080P Kernel Jelly Bean 4.1.x (3 megs)



    For Jelly Bean 4.2.2 like my Finless 2.0 JB 4.2.2 ROMs

    ROM -> MK808 (NOT-B) - Finless 1080P Kernel for - Jelly Bean 4.2.2 (3 megs)

    ROM -> MK808B Original - Finless 1080P Kernel for - Jelly Bean 4.2.2 (3 megs)


    Yes, I will try to do more kernels soon!

        Still stuck with My MK808B (original) 4.2.2 Finless 2.0 Beta2 ROM

        I was flash your Kernel1080.img and Boot1080.img in Finless1.7 but it also stuck in boot screen and home screen, i can't use.
        I was flashing JUST these 2 items kernel1080.img and boot1080.img but it stuck.
        Then i flash the entire ROM and erase NAND with these 2 items but it also stuck.

        My MK808B with Finless 2.0 Beta2 can't use this 1080p Kernel.

        Please help me Bob.

          Hi Finless,

          I'm happy to help! Almost working! I just tried and I got some corruption, the yellow image is the loading screen and the red one is the one that prompts you to choose a launcher.

          I did erase the flash( It think you have to otherwise it wont be flashed properly since flashing only turns 1's into 0's and not the other way around)

          I hope this helps!

            Kernels are ONLY for JB 4.1.x Finless 1.7 ROM

            YOU CANNOT USE these kernels on the JB 4.2.2 Finless 2.0 ROM.

            These kernels are ONLY for my 1.7 ROM (Jellybean 4.1.x).

            Later I will make 1080 kernels for the JB 4.2.2, Finless 2.0 ROM.

              I updated the first post to be more clear about what these 2 kernels are for.

                  More kernel news. Now rk903 devices have very close custom kernels too, someone in armtvtech forum have made rk903 compiled works. When he share his driver sources and config we will have full custom kernels for mk808b and minix X5

                        Great Kernel

                        Great job on the new 1080p Kernel, it looks and works perfect. All credit goes out to Bob for all his hard work and effort, thank you.

                        The only thing is XBMC HW app is now playing HD choppy, no big issue for getting a true 1080p is worth the update. Again thanks Bob.

                            Of course 1080 kernel performance is going to be less. It's just the way it is. More pixels to draw on the screen. I am sure this is why the manufacturers don't do it! It requires over clocking to be better. Something that we cannot do without kernel sources.

                            So these are what they are. A patched kernel for true 1080. It will either work for you or not. Best I can do at this time.
