    recommend 1080p 1:1 pixel perfect rom/kernel

    Hello, Freaktab community.

    I have a Vcom dv111d, very likely it's a mk808 (non-b) clone.

I don't want to dissassemble it, because of warranty.
It's actually running android 4.1.1 (even though homepage says 4.2)
    Power is fed through mini-USB.

Please recommend a rom for me to use:

    - 1:1 pixel perfect 1080p is CRUCIAL!
    - Performance is not important.
    - The device is intended to run a simple webview app with local html5 files, so wifi isn't important either.

The current rom runs 720p Even though 1080p 60hz is selectable, and scaling is customizable to 100%, screenresolution.apk reports 1280 x 6-something.

CPU rate control would be nice too, I don't want any overheating issues, 1 ghz would be perfect for the task the device will be intended for.

    Thanks in advance!

Actually, I tried going to flash mode and I ran into a problem:

Unknown device, device descriptor request failed

In this state it won't accept any of the rockusb drivers, not even 3.7.

    So what do I do now ? : |

The dvice is completely useless for me if I can't falsh a native 1080p rom

You should always do your homework before buying an android stick.

In order to get a true 1080p resolution, you will need to flash either a custom kernel, or a kernel that has been patched to run at 1080p.

Please bare in mind, an mk808 kernel may not work correctly on your device. It may be a case it simply doesn't exist for your device.
      Currently Using:
2 x Nvidia Shield TV | MiniMX III
      Retired Devices:
      MiniMX III-II | Mk808b Pro | Mk808b Plus | Raspberry Pi 1 + 2 | UBOX R89 | MK808 | MK808b | CS008 | X1 4K (rk3288_809) | CYX_809III | Ouya | CX-919 | S82 Plus | Tronstmart R68

        Hi,
        Try installing moborobo for windows
It has helpt me alot.. with solving driver problems
-but make sure.. to quite the app fully.. before using any firmware/root tools

Might be smart.. to make a backup ( aka nand backup)
        Before trying a new firmware

Ps.. there are app's to give detailed info about your devices hardware
It might be wise to post the info here.. before asking for help finding a rom

        Goodluck
