This Thread here is a Warning to all Buyers of a new TV Stick. In the last Time we had have issiues with some Rockchip 3188 CPU because they are running only with 1.4 Ghz and are not able to be Overclock.
This is only for Information! Not to make Panic!
RK3188 with quad-core products of high and low with (CPU), RK3188 is a high coordination, RK3188-T is low with CPU, the price difference between hundreds of dollars, each customer in the procurement time to see. 3188-T market has been low with a quad-core CPU dongle in sales, while sellers will not tell customers with a product which is low.
3188-T firmware patch is absolutely necessary in order to brush machine, if not patched, brush the opportunity to brush CPU die. Scrapped.
T is the reduced frequency version, because RK3188 combined SDK2.0 sacrificing battery life, so to lower the frequency of T
The Chips are called RK3188 T. There are no Official Information about this Chip.
For us it seems Like the want to sell the Crap CPU that not Work porper on 1.6 Ghz as 1.4 Ghz Versions.
As Problem we see that now Seller will told you that, or they didnt know this.
To Avoid this, we have here a Table called Blacklist. Please Type in your Device and Seller when you get such Device to Warn other Users.
How can we know wich CPU we have ?
The only way to see this is to Open the Device and take a look at the CPU.
