As i have written in some days ago, rockchip release the android 4.4 SDK for their device. so i push differentfactory to working on the android 4.4 firmware. Today, i get the new beta firmware from Q7 factory. So Here we go:

It's rubbish, don't bother downloading. Still has micro frame skipping issue and loses functionality over stock ROM. Basically you are making your box worse by using this ROM.

kitkat 4.4 beta- what works

Geekbuying...
due to usuing purely as xbmc tv box, use of a bluetooth mouse/kb for me is a must as supplied remote is tedious to use.

this beta has a single advantage over stock rom and Lewi's modded rom, but mainly is a lot worse.
Bluetooth works properly for a start, my i-pazzport flymouse/board behaves as should (tethers but will not function on other roms)
audio is pants...stock rom is ok and Lewi's work 's just fine..
wifi keeps shutting itself down, randomly or disables itself.
eth/wifi/bt all shutdown if box left running when not being used.

have tried the art setup, but no apps work,

Can't get vec's rom to load past the little guys in dinner suits.

Any chance of pushing manufacturer to release either a stock rom with working bt or get an update for the beta with fixed audio/wifi.

I flashed myQ7 with your firmware, worked great except googleplay, as you stated so wanted to go back to JB4.2 but think I bricked it, keep saying " IDB failed" help

You first have to erase your device with the KitKat parameter file then you can reflash a JB rom otherwise you will brick your device.

Geekbuying is a reseller of Android boxes.
They don't develop firmware themselves, factories compile new firmware for them, so you won't get a reply.
