    KitKat/Jellybean Kernels July 2014

    KitKat Kernels(Build on Request)

Since most developers decided to drop support for RK3066/RK3188 devices, I will create kernels on request for people that want some.

    Please me give your
    1. Device name
    2. Wifi chip / RTL8188,AP6220,MT5931,ESP8089,RTL8723,RK903,MT7601 etc
    3. TV Stick or TV Box
    4. Platform RK3066/RK3188
    5. SD or HD Kernel
    6. PMU ,ethernet, usb devices(gamepad, audio, camera etc) included
    7. Any other settings.
    8. Dmesg
    9. Wifi GPIO Pin numbers

How to get GPIO Wifi Pin
    1. Must be rooted
    2. Busybox installed.
    3. Run prepare.sh
    4. Run gpio_dump.sh
    Gets saved in sdcard.
Make 4 files and rename them w1b1.txt, meaning w1 = wifi on, b0 = bluetooth off.
    5. Run gpio-find.py or agpio.py to get another file with wifi pin.
    6. Make sure python from playstore is installed.
Use http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/ to download apps from playstore to pc to Install with flash drive.
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/x3...9/gpio_dump.7z

Please test these kernels, don't know if they will boot.
    KitKat RK3188 Kernels
    CYX_809III_ESP8089_Stick_HD
    MK809III_RTL8188_ Stick_SD(Working)
    MK809III_RTL8188_ Stick_HD(Working)
    8723BS_HD_Box
    AP6210_HD_Box
    8189ES_HD_Box

    JB
    MT7601_RK3188_JB_Box_HD(Working)

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

The other thread is closed, since I can't change the posts anymore.

Anyone that could compile MT5931 wifi correctly, please help.
    Any interests for RTL8189eu/es kernels?
Also have a fix for RTL8201F external clock ethernet, if interested.

      - TV Box
      - Platform RK3188
      - 720p kernel

I am trying the 8723bs_Stick_HD but never get past the 4 penguins... maybe i need the SD version? No idea.

*edit* I have tried the kernel with numerous different ROM builds and not once did I get past the penguins.

Tried to compile JB & KitKat with RK616 HDMI, ends with errors.
If someone has different kernel sources with working RK616, please share.

Compiled RTL8723 kernels with a different source, will use a different kernel and upload tomorrow, might work then.

                    Sorry about bluetooth.
                    What bluetooth are you using?
Will see if there isn't a setting I can change.

Getting Bluetooth working is very hard, since you need the GPIO pins and some bluetooth drivers are build into roms and don't work on other roms.

                      I uploaded some new kernels.
                      Please test

Will also make Stick versions of the Box versions and vice versa, if needed

Anyone not getting any sound, I can also make kernels with the sound fix.

I have tried the 8723BS SDIO_RK3188_HD_Box on my 809iii and was able to get to the OS this time but I was still not able to get the wifi to work. It will go as far as to let me flick the switch to turn it on but it never connects. Do you suggest a ROM to use the kernel with? I am using so many different ones I am not sure what ones are best? I am using Neomodes kitkat builds with your kernel and others, but is there one that you think would be best? Thanks

Now in the previous thread I posted
                        1. Device name - MK 809III
                        2. Wifi chip - RTL8723
                        3. TV Stick
                        4. Platform - RK3188T
                        5. SD or HD Kernel - Either

I tried the stick kernel the other day you posted and got no boot. Now it is a box version I am testing, but that should not make a difference right since it is just the wifi... right? I hope...

Open the device, look with a magnifying glass or
Dmesg - Terminal emulater, su then dmesg, must be root with su apk installed.
                            Think it might be MT6622.
Also need GPIO pins for bluetooth.

Have you tried Raxda Rock firmware, it is RTL8723bs.

There are 3 different versions of RTL8723, which makes it very difficult. RTL8723au RK3188 rom was also released by Rockchip, downloads very slow, will upload it if it will help.
