fat32 4GB download limit bypass help

I am trying to download files larger than 4GB to generic 918/MK888/Q7/etc (same box)
Running KitKat 4.42 Rooted and stock kernel 3.0.36
Limit is 4Gb for fat 32 so download to USB stops at 4GB.
    Changed USB stick to NTFS
Tried Paragon and Stickmount with no love. They don't see or mount the USB.
    I am thinking either:
    A) the kernel has no support for fuse or NTFS
    B) I need to install Fuse or support for it - perhaps a different rom
    C) I need to partition USB with both Fat32 and NTFS
Advanced search on this forum is not currently working for me but tried many searches
Can somebody please help direct me to a possible solution to this issue.
If it has been addressed here, please point me in the right direction.
It is imperative that I be able to download larger than 4GB files to the USB Stick or Flash card
    Any help is gladly appreciated
