RK3188 stick and Bluetooth Low Energy

    Hi,

I bought 2 sticks one CX919II RK3188 + rtl8723bs and one MK809IV, both with Android 4.4.2 on board. Both claim that they have Bluetooth 4.0, but one of them detect Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. I've tested it with iBeacons from Estimote and other manufacturers. My Samsung phones detect the beacons, iPad also, but the both sticks not. I have no idea what the problem could be. The rtl8723bs chip has Bluetooth 4.0 on board. Could it be drivers that are used in the firmware? Or am I missing something?

    Thanks for your help!

I see no answer so far. Well, than I would have another question. Do you know ANY Android stick that has full Bluetooth 4.0 support? I need Bluetooth Low Energy beacons working, so it also needs Android 4.3 or better.

      Hi

      I have the same problem with CX919 RK3188 (& CS008 RK3288) device.
Does anyone ever managed to connect BLE devices with such Android HDMI Sticks ?

        Hi all

        I haven't solved this either.
I am trying to connect my TV + android Stick to a BLE Bicycle Smart Trainer.

Any news about BLE and Android Sticks ?
