NEW QUAD CORE TV BOX Tronsmart T428

I was browsing geekbuying.com tv box category and i noticed the Tronsmart T428
Seems like a nice device but i noticed that there is no otg port. Wont that be a problem if i buy this device and want to flash a custom rom??

Actually I do see 2 USB ports on the back. A micro and a full size. This is just like the MK802III as it only has those 2 ports. There is no side OTG port on the KM802III. The micro USB port on that is both the power port and the OTG port.

I also notice it has a reset button on it!

I hope it does better then the GK802. Maybe my next replacement to the MX1. Think that's a power button on the unit?

For anyone interested, here is the link so you do not have to go searching.

Tronsmart, an innovative company based on cutting-edged Android devices, We have sold lots of their Prometheus, and got the firmware upgrade and tech support really fast every time. Now they plan to release their new model: Tronsmart T428, which will be base in Rockchip RK3188 quad core chip. The RK3188 is a 28nm quad-core ARM […]

I do hope when it is released the OS has the ability to connect to PC and ADB. As you can see in the comments that is removed from the settings menu. No ADB means much harder to work with for ROMs, debugging, etc. Tronsmart seems to remove that from thier AML Devices too. Not sure why.

However, this does not mean it may be impossible. It does have a reset button so it is quite possible to get it into flash mode then dump the ROM from Linux.

I may have to get one of these
Gotta have something new to make ROMs for

Thx for your answer Bob, im really getting tempted to buy one of these but i hope when it comes out you can do some of your magic with its rom cause without it, it would be useless. Right now im using mk808b with your 1.7 rom and it rocks.

                thx for your suggestion shootomanUK
i checked the udroid device and it seems nice but it still has some drawbacks cause it has no wifi chip, no bluetooth, no sd card no power adaptor and not hdmi cable which i think are important components for a minipc and it really has 2 gb of ram but if you look carefully it is not ddr3 like on other minipc`s but its ddr2 which nowdays is old. By adding all of the components that i mentioned plus 30$ for shipping then the price of the device goes way over the initial price so i dont think its an equal buy.

I just noticed the DDR2 gj on noticing that, the box seems kind of cool, the idea of a quad box is nice, it has HDMI though, and power supply, but from the looks of it, they are sold separately.

So far that new quad looks interesting, scoring 18k on antutu, without a custom rom running it, I bet after finless makes a rom for it, it might reach 20k ?? would be nice.
all in all I think I will order one.

yeah i think its a top device, not got one yet myself though im thnking of getting one.

Bluetooth is not a big issue you can get a tiny bt dongle for £1 nowaday's
mini wifi dongle can be bought cheap also roughly £5 ****

also ddr3 over ddr2 is not that bigger improvement, also this device has 2gb

                    + ethernet port

not only is it a android tv dongle but this is a development board that you can run multiple operating systems with a large community and growing.
