Maybe we need a Tronsmart forums section?

I'm not convinced the lower clock speed is worth the trade off of the 2 additional cores. Opinions?

      HI Castaa:

I am just going to post this, but where did you say it is 1.1Ghz, it is wrong. The tronsmart MK908 is run 1.6Ghz Quad Core. not 1.1 Ghz.

and i am requesting to have the sub forum of RK3188 quad core mini pcs.

      Looking for developers

Geekbuying, can you show both the Tronsmart MK809 and T428 with CPUSpy installed? ANTUTU Pictures are showing that the CPU scales from 316 mhz to 1.6 ghz. However, in my experience with Rockchip kernels, they typically lock the CPU speed to 1ghz and below, DESPITE the report that it scales from 316 mhz to 1.6 ghz.

I do not want to put $100 down only to find that the piece-of-crap is locked at 1ghz. I want some sort of proof showing that stock kernels can utilize all CPU Steps (e.g., 316 mhz, 500 mhz, 800 mhz, etc).

                      HI

Ok,no problem, i can test for you.

but as far as i test, the Tronsmart MK908 and Tronsmart T428 all use rockchip RK3188 CPU, and it clock @1.6Ghz, Rockchip said the max of the CPU is 1.8Ghz, however, seems tronsmart lock the speed on 1.6Ghz, when i test with antutu, it said the cpu is 1.6Ghz *4.

                      thanks

Erik or Bob, does the MK809 have the same wifi chipset as the T428 or does it also support 5GHz?

MK908 use the AP6210, which is no support for 5Ghz, that's also why MK908 has lower price than T428.

Thx Erik. Looking fwd to get one of the 2 devices. Wonder what the throughput is on both lets say N standard 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Wish you were closer so I could send my AC router to you.
