Motivated by the problem reported in the post: [SOLVED] - Please, tips about unbrick CS968?
I did research on the net and realized that the problem is the lack of Rockchip Rockusb Driver for Windows Pro 8.1 64bit.
I found the tutorial below and I implemented:
HOW TO EASILY INSTALL ROCKCHIP ROCKUSB DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 8.1 X64 BIT - Stefan Danut.
As the drives (usbhub.sys and usbport.sys) package were old, I used the Windows 8.0 Enterprise drives to replace the current Windows Pro 8.1 drives.
So far, so good:
- USBs working OK!
- Windows Pro 8.1 recognizing the device!
- Working 100% to update the firmware through the Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7.
