What is the sequence of steps that I use in "rockchip cfw tool"?
        What the final image name?
        ...tks...

        Note: Option 1: unpack - Option 3 - RK3188 - just only? Generate: miskercfw.img. I have not used option 2.pack everything and 3.pre-root.

Extract update.img as well as system.img (Bakcup on your pc ?)

Pre-root your firmware (root ? why PRE ?)

Open system folder to edit your rom (what could i edit)

          Repack update.img (rebuild ?)

          Thanks

Yeah download your original firmware, rename it update.img and put it in the same directory as this app. It will extract the update and system.img inside of it. Then you can delete all the packages and stuff you don't need. It can also root the firmware for you so when you flash it you don't have to root your device again. And lastly it will repack it so you can flash it to your device.

                Hi,
the rom by GAESS is rooted from start, but the ones from Geekbuying are not, so it is normal that it won't work. You have to root it either before or after installation...
I will update the start of the thread to include the new information.

For me, screen flicker a lot.
                        I can't setup for 1920x1080 (1080p).
Only 1280x720 (720p) and screen flicker a lot.
The same happens with the firmware not pre-routed.

A little tip on the edge, when you dont like the R-Box Bootanimation, try these App.

All searching for a bootanimation.zip was without luck on my Device but with this App, i can change it.

More Bootanimations you can be found here.

                              Have Fun !
