Hi Everybody,

I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread for all those CS968 and the aliases CloudnetGo CR11/s , TV01, UGOOS UG410 , topics. - In the hope that one of the admins might create a proper subforum soon ;-).

How to install a rom:
(Thank you mega3st for the description!)

1. get the RK Batch Tool 1.7
2. make sure that "Connect to PC is" disabled (Settings -> USB -> Connect to PC)
3. make sure that "USB debugging" is activated (Settings -> Developer options -> USB debugging)
4. connect the USB-Port next to microSD-Card reader to your PC
5. press the reset button for 3 to 5 sec. to activate debug mode
6. if you haven't installed the ADB (Android Debug Bridge) driver before, select the drivers which are included with the RK Batch Tool package for the new device
7. start the RK Batch Tool and make sure that your device is shown as connected (if your device isn't connected the drivers are not installed correctly)
8. open the custom firmware and start flashing by click on "Restore"


How to pre-root a Firmware:

Get started:
Rename the image you want to install to update.img and copy it into the same folder as the tool. (Thank you hanu_blr!)

1. Start the Tool
2. Press 1 for Unpack and 2x Enter
3. Press 3 for Pre-Root and Enter
4. Press 2 for Pack everything and Enter
5. Press 3 for rk3188 and Enter

The pre-Rooted ROM named now "misk8ercfw.img" and you can flash it.

Not sure which one is really the clone here . I read somewhere that Cloudnetgo sold this technology to the others. Doesn't make much difference anyhow.

You are right, I am not sure who cloned what. And since CloudnetGo are really quick in releasing new firmware it is entirely possible that they are at the root of the device. I changed clone to "alias", I think that is better.

(just click on firmware and chose the one you want to have. The 200M version is for the 2MP camera and the 500M for the 5MP Camera...)
I installed it but I don't know how to test if it is really 1080p...If someone tells me how, I can check it this evening.

All CS 968, MK839, and other inventions have 2-megapixel webcam.
To check the Resolution install Antutu and shoot test
Also do not believe in any advertising

I know one thing, the CR11S is the best Google TV/Android Box, I have ever owned ... As a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to order me another one !

I tried the cloudnet's 1080p firmware but i am going back to 720p because the letters are very small and it hurt my eyes.
