They are 2 completely different firmware, wifi is not the same. Mediatek/Broadcom
If you flash the wrong firmware, wifi & bluetooth won't work.
There are about 5 different versions of EKB311B and they all use different firmware.
Why on earth ENY had to use the same device name for so many different board versions and not release new firmware for the older models, is beyond me. Had to spend so much time creating my own firmware since they only care about selling new products and not helping people with older devices.

Edit: the Geekbuying topic is renamed incorrectly to AP6210 wifi, should be RTL8188.
The firmware on Geekbuying and Eny, should be 99% the same, won't notice a difference.
Now people with AP6210 wifi will flash the wrong firmware.

H, tested and this is a great Rom. Works perfect, very, very fast. Ethernet works like never did before. Very happy with it.

i have a problem with my cs918, windows 8 doesnt recognize, i downloaded the batch tool 1.7 and still with the driver and windows still doesn't recognize it, can someone help me

just use google chrome. when the page loads up the should be a prompt from Chrome asking if you want it translated.

sure the is/was an issue with drivers and windows 8. you got a spare windows 7 or lower pc sitting round?

do backups of everything first

install drivers, the is software to easily do this but dont have the link handy at the moment. rkdriverassistant i think its called

install rkbatchtool on your pc

download firmware.

open rkbatchtool then pick your new downloaded firmware

plug your box into the pc via the otg USB then hold the reset button on the bottom of the box and plug in the power cable.
rkbatchtool should pop up with a connected icon.
click upgrade

hopefully should finish with a green bar saying success.

I set the output in the HDMI settings to 1080P but wasser XBMC (1.2) reports under system that the output is 720P.

How do I set this up to output the HDMI as 1080P?

Has anyone been successful?
