Thanks in advance for any posts helping me out with this problem.
I have a Q7 which i bought from Geekbuying. Since the stock Rom isn't all that great i wanted to flash a different rom.
But i cannot, whatever i do, connect it to PC in flash mode. I have followed the instructions found on this page: Geekbuying.com
Can anyone tell me what steps are needed to connect it to a PC
Already tried:
Mini-USB to normal USB cable
normal USB cable to normal USB cable
driver install via install tool found on geekbuying
other PC (to exclude issue with PC)
You need to connect a micro USB cable with a USB 2.0 port on your PC.
Than you press and hold the reset button on the bottom and the power button on the top (hold it!).
Now (while holding the buttons) connect your power and hold the buttons pressed until your PC recognizes new hardware.
If you havent installed the rockchip device drivers yet you need to do this first.
Which OS do you use? Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8? On XP - 7 you go right click on computer - manage. Go to device manager. There will be an entry according to an unknown (rockchip) device. Right click - install driver - not automatically - select driver - browse to the folder the driver is contained.
After this your flash tool can be started and the flash tool should recognize the box.
