Wow! its really awesome. Most features seems to be working fast and fine on CS918 except for the followings issues:
1. frequent random auto shut down for no reasons (need to power up the set again).
2. Remote controller that comes with the set not working still.

Appreciated and you really make my day ... best rom for CS918 so far. Look forward to your next release of 1080p soon.

Thats weird, i dont have such shutdown issues on my C918. Can you lower the frequency from 1.8Ghz to 1.6Ghz in the "Performance" option and test? Maybe your device is overheating or something (like power is not enough). Are you using a 2A power adapter? any external devices connected?

Its stable for me.

the black screen issue with fw2.0 series with last wasser kernel is not only for Sony Bravia but also with a Iyyama 27" hdmi LCD screen.

May be timings of screen resolution have a problem.
I have no issues with the default fw 1.2.2.1080p at any screen resolution.

Hi,


i can't get DTS and AC3 working with the new firmware on my CS918 ( but i do not have the problem
with the muting sound every 2-3minutes with the new firmware)

I use the latest Mx player with the DTS driver and i checked that these driver is in use.
I can see on my receiver display that the player tries to change the audio output, but after
some clicking noise the video stutters, the audio output switched most of the time to stereo
or the player crashes. I try to play the videos with Video-HW and Audio software decoding(and hardware
decoding) and the new HW+ modul with no luck.
Only one time the output changes to AC3 for some minutes and then the player crashes.

I have tested this with all android sound settings followed by a shutdown.

(all my videos plays fine AC3, DTS, PLL... with openelec on a rasperry, so this is not a problem of
the video files)


Everthing else works great with this firmware

Like iiyama, thoses screen are 1080p compatible !

1080p works fine on thoses screen with previous kernel and not with the last, so kernel issue (sorry wasser ;-)))

i try v 2.0.1 on CS918 working fast , Most Functions work
dts work great with MX Player pro+Custom Codec . i can play 720p and 1080p video smoothly ,play movies from smb
Mini Wireless Keyboard ok
keep up the good work.

to get passtrougt
go to setting>sound change the output.
do not install any drivers for mx player, passtrought will only work in h/w mode.
try with stock player and gallery app.
and post back.

which kernel exactly does not have this issue? it could be a regression in latest kernel
