its look the same but im not sure:"
if you have stock rom for your device you should be good if not its always
safer to make a cwm backup or wait when some one who tested it, will post.

I have the C918 and its identical to K-R42 inside, so i believe there will be no problems at all with this rom.

My problem is that i cannot get this box detected correctly on PC.
Tried with 3 Desktops and a laptop (Windows 7 32bit/64bit, Windows XP SP3)
Tried with 4 MicroUSB-to-USB female cables combined with Male-to-male USB (i tested the cables with a multimeter).
Whenever i plug it to PC, it never detected unless i do it veeery slowly. Even then it gets an error in device manager (This device cannot start. (Code 10)).
On windows XP the drivers cannot installed at all (only stays as unknown rk31sdk) it says something like that the driver is not correct for this device.. (i use the drivers whithin your rom, and my previous downloaded official Rockchip v3.5)

My other Android tablet with Amlogic works fine on my computer.

Is there any other way to install the rom? or root? or i have to stay with the stock rom?
Sorry im insist on this but if custom/rooted rom is a no-go, i have to return the device.
            Thank you!

it gave me a little headache to, but now i think its quite easy to get the box recognized.

              1. unplug all cables from device.
              2. plug micro usb otg cable into device and into pc (nothing else)
              3. press and hold litle restore button on which is under device
              4. plug in power cord (remember to stil hold restore button) and you are in flash mod
              5. on first time it may not work before driver are instaled but later its working every time.

                Thank you for answering.
First of all, i did a shutdown and removed all USB devices (Wifi, DVB receiver) from my pc.
Then i did the steps correctly but i just get the system recovery menu (pic1). My pc still detect nothing and RKBatchTool does not see it as well.
Can i flash a update.img rom from this menu? (i tried with sd card and doesnt work) i know that a signed update.zip should work from sd card but all k-r42 roms are in img format inside rar.

The only way for my computer to interact with the box, is when i boot normaly and slowly connect the otg cable. Then, a message "USB debugging connected" shows in device and the pc gets an error like in pic2.

Thank you for reading my bad english

ps: android screenshot is bad because i use composite from av port.

                  9. now folow the normal install of rom. (remember to click restore not upgrade)

also try difrent usb on your pc and be sure to not use any kind of hubs etc.

                    netflix not working well

Hi, it seems that in Netflix, the video plays fine for a minute or 2, then or the video freezes and the sound kept going, or the video kept going and no audio. Anyone had that problem?

I Connected the otg and then connected the power cable :
                        a. The device start automatically to boot but does not get detected (and no message on android tray).
                        b. Finless flash tool says "No Found RKAndroid rock usb" and "Reboot to Flash Mode" gives me an error "No Found device for upgrading"

If i disconnect otg cable and put it again reeeeeeealy slowly (faster insertion result to no detection at all):
                        a. The device is semi detected (error 10) and i get the debbuging message on android tray.
                        b. Finless flash tool still says "No Found RKAndroid rock usb" (i restarted the tool as well) and cannot "Reboot to Flash Mode" (same as above).

RKBatchTool always stays empty (no green box)
I tried all 8 usb ports directly (no usb hubs) and the "usb debbuging" and "connect to pc" settings are enabled.
                        I re-installed the drivers.

After some more research i found that another guy has the same problem in xda-developers forum.
