long time library update.. 950 movies = 6-7 hours

I have over 500 films and first time database was created takes over one hour accessing nfs to my synology nas... give a try to NFS, worth it.

About the CPU, xbmc is designed to get the CPU and use it, I don't care about, if i can play 1080p films smooth, and I can ;-)

Mine takes 6+ hours. 950 movies. i use SMB. dont have NFS on that NAS (buffalo) but i have FTP and AFP.. would that help ?

i feel my mx-2 android box is faster on that thing - library update. Did not measure, but around half the time. Frodo 12.4 / Ouya / SPMC / this nitro one.. and Frodo 12.2 on MX2 with amlogic Hw.

any tips how to improve? i use ethernet

Sure you don't let XBMC download fanart and film information ;-) try to update library adding plugin information for film or serie and will takes longer...

I wasnt born yesterday.. offcourse i got fanart and movie info in there...

It might take 30 seconds to add all my fanart and movie info...

CWM install

I tried the CWM install from SD card as I already had quickshot installed, but it doesn't start again, it only reboots into recovery mode again. Anyone know why?

But first time fanart and info is supposed to download from Internet, so I guess you have al this before the scan, right? If I add some films takes just few minutes, but a complete scan from scratch takes ages. ..

720 kernels?

Are there any 720 kernels? I do not have 1080p tv, only 1080i and 720p. I would really like to install rom.

Thanks to all, we are very happy with the Rom, and it is nice that you enjoy with it too.

About 720p kernels, you can use them from Bob Finless 1.8 Rom, he has a pack with them.
I will ask him for permissions to use them to make a quickflasher update pack with them.
