I was wondering if there is someone here who is succesfully using the Mele F10 PRO.
- Are you using the X7 or X7 mini?
- Do you have other USB devices attached?
- What rom are you using?
- Are you experiencing shutdowns?
- Did you modify anything ? (like keymaps, etc.)
My experiences are that with
- Finless 1.7
- Finless 1.8
- HFW 3.2,
The remote is not compatible.
Let me know.
Thanks

Reason: Problem solved, use the new sensors file!
My rom has the keylayout for the pro..
but... "seems" we still have crashes wich is reported to me just once.
If someone knows what the fix is i will add it to next update.

Yes that was me. But there are many others which has reported the same problems.
I have contacted Minix about this via [email protected] and finally got a technical anwser.
They have modified sensors.rk30board.so to work better with their A2 airmouse.
I am now in the process of extracting the "sensors.rk30board.so" files from
- Strauzo SDK2
- Strauzo Kitkat
- Wasser Kitkat
- Measy U4B 4.2.2 rom
But I am having problem extracting the Ext3 system.img under Windows, what tool do you use?
Seeing as the above were not 'improved' by our beloved Minix I hope this will solve the conflict by replacing the file back to the original from the sdk.
My other (prelimenary) findings are that it does NOT crash under Strauzo Kitkat.
Also what I found out is that if i select 'noop' as the I/o scheduler (with 4.2.2 roms) then it crashes WAY more often (every couple minutes).
I tried looking up in Logcat if i could see the crashes but was unable too. I gues i can try again.
Also will try dmesg but I didn't find a good app for that yet.
Thanks for the info.
I will extract the files asap and see if it makes any difference.
( will post you a copy too to test with )
You can mount system.img under linux

Code:
sudo mount system.img -t ext4 mountfolder -o loop
I have already gotten my hands on the 4.4.2 sensors.rk30board.so and implemented this in my HFW 3.2. Seems to work great! (File is 4 times bigger..)
thanks i will add a seporate trial rom for it asap
Cool, still going strong here I've now been trying to improve the keymap. This is the first improvement.
#Remap middle button to 'Enter' so it works everywhere and long press works
key 28 ENTER
#Buttons below are not able to be detected so not able to be mapped
#
#Call button is : not detected
#
#Hang up button is : not detected
#
#Sound change button is : not detected
#
#Left mouse button is : not detected
#
#mouse left click on back is: not detected
#
#Learn button is : not detected
#
#Game mode button is : not detected but game mode works
#
#Game button on back is: not detected but works
#
#Game mode makes the remote send DPAD UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT when moving around.
I have some strange problems with the following buttons, they are detected but not working properly.
#Home button does not to 'home' , does not do much strangely. Just in my rom apparently?
key 102 HOME
#Right mouse button click, so mouse shows up - is this standard?
key 0 BACK
#Go button does nothing but is mapped to mutltitask button
NB: Make sure that you are rooted and that your file browser can read/write to the root filesystem (i use Total Commander for this)
Thanks, i renamed and replaced the file.
Now wait if there is improvement.
On Finless Roms i had lots of shutdowns.
On Quickshot V1 lesser shutdowns.
On HFW Rom lesser shutdowns.
On Quickshot Rom V2 from beginning untill now only 1 freeze.
The Minix A2 is crap for me, very unstable mouse pointer, Huge battery usage.
Changed it for a Mele F10 Pro, and i'm very happy with it.
Using a keylayout i found somewhere on the internet. (see attachment)
Home button works.
Menu Button works, (Hide bottom bar, small Android menu, XBMC context menu)
Only a few buttons dont work.

Funny I started with the Minix A2 as well, same problems you had! So stupid that every time you pick it up the airmouse starts. So much better that the Mele F10 pro starts in Remote function.
I really prefer the Mele F10 Pro.
Did you find any games that work with the Mele F10 Pro's game mode? I tried real racing 3 but it doesn't use DPAD input but accelerator input.
