    Minix Neo X7 Stable Overclocking

I have tried Finless' 1.8 rom with CPU 1800 and DDR 800, seemed pretty stable, only issue is that the TV flickered every 30 seconds or so, and in addition, i would see horizontal white artifacts flickering across random areas of the screen. Once I went to stock Minix 008, this problem disappeared. Is this a known issue with this overclock? I know, I know, I went for the most overclocked kernel but I wanted to experiment before I settled on a stable rom.

If you want to have a good setup go for this: 1600-1700 CPU / 600 GPU / 720 Ram
Ram over 720 will give strange behaviour i noticed.
Overclock above 1700 doen not give a noticable advantage ( 5-10% tops )
Oh and dont just look at benchmark numbers, see what it actualy does in use!

    Have fun

Cool thanks I'll give it a go! Yeah I'm more interested in daily usage than benchmarks.

Careful with over clocking, what seems ok at first can end in corrupt files or rom... I found that what works today might not work tomorrow with over clocking. Pc experience. Like an engine over rev'ed it will fail overtime.
        Without memories we have nothing.

To every oc'er: I suggest running the AnTuTu stability test to check if the device stays stable over longer periods of intense usage.

I have said this many times but it's worth repeating: Each device is unique. My X7, for example, is perfectly stable with cpu1920/ddr800/gpu798 kernels, others' won't even boot with anything over cpu1608.

+1000 My X7 is not stable over 1800 cpu, all up 1600 must be considered like an extra, maybe you can got it, maybe not.

Had a gpu for pc over locked for a year.. Then become unstable and had to lower to factory.. Still ran ok then
