iStick A300 RK3188

Can someone please advice me on how to flash a custom rom to my iStick A300 from PQlabs? It has an RK3188 Cortex Quad-Core A9 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and a Mali400MP Quad-Core GPU.

It currently runs on stock JellyBean 4.2.2, but it is very laggy and the screen keeps flickering every few seconds while hooked up to my TV with 1080p resolution (which it should support easily).

Do you know what custom rom I can flash on it? And do I have to root it first? Because I already flashed the updated stock rom from the website, but the screen flickering problem still exists.
