    CWM TWRP

Anyone know if this will work on our 3288 units?

Hopefully allowing us to backup/restore/install roms etc.

Tried TWRP on my R28 and although it is unable to mount internal_sd, the backup function seemed to work for all 8 partitions.

I've not tried a restore to test that yet though.

        Yes.

That did seem to be the default.

I haven't yet played around with the settings to attempt to save to a USB source.

          Tried this on my UT3.
When i booted into recovery after the install it still had the normal recovery.
Not sure what i did wrong.

            I just flashed TWRP_1920x1200_CrewRKTablets_v2.1.img on it's own.

How are you booting into recovery ?
I press pin in reset hole and connect power.
But it just boots into normal recovery.

I used the Petrus reboot app to go into recovery.

I backed up my rom to external_sd then installed another rom the usual way, restored twrp recovery, restored my backup and all is good

The 1920x1200 was a little too large for the screen, so I modified to create a 1920x1080

Created a 1920x1080 but it is the position on the buttons etc that requires modification to comfortably fit on the screen.

                    Also noted:

USB Storage does not mount from the main mount menu and when I select the Mount USB Storage button it take me to a screen where there is only the unmount button available, so unable to go back to the previous screen without having to unmount it and therefore unable to backup to usb storage.

When selecting Power Off from the Reboot menu it just reboots rather than powering off but it seems that this is intended, so unlikely ever to work.

Mounting of internal_sd is apparently not intended to be an option.

                      Thanks for the info guys.
I have flashed it about 4 times, still only got android recovery.
Looks like it does not work with the UT3.
Can someone make a flashable update.zip to install TWRP recovery ?
                      Thanks.

                      Edit,
Ignore the above, its done now, i was not rooted, now i am and it has installed Ok on my UT3.
Just done a full back up to external SD card.

You will need to extract the image and edit the UI.XML file where the button positions and resolutions are set.

I changed the resolution to 1920x1080 and rebuilt the image and it works but the buttons are still slightly off screen to make it look perfect.

The same is true if you use the 1280x800.

This is a sample of one of the ui.xml files

Nice! Thx to Oman from arctablet.com! and gffmac for information.

i Used 1280x800 TRWP version... launch backup (i added more modules to save...kernel, ressource).
I had an error message 'not mount /internal_sd', but backup process seems to be OK (about 8go data saved).

i ll see in restore operation
