Are ROMs interchangeable between RK3288 devices?

I've seen this thread that says that the Linux for the Firefly dev board can be used to boot on any RK3288 device. Does this apply for other ROMs too?

For example falshing a Beelink R89 device with the UGOOS UT3 linux?

basically yes but
- if you talk about Linux/Android, there could be problems with eth and/or wifi...
- if you talk about Android, also with the IR...
