It doesn't work.

I thought it did as it was days without the mute problem, but last night I was watching a 2 hour movie and it muted by itself. The only workaround for this that I've found so far is to lower the volume one level below max volume in the android OS.

Wasser can't reproduce the problem simply because it's way too random of a bug. I hope he manages to find it and fix it.

for the time being don't raise the volume level to the highest and it should never mute.

I have also a problem with HDMI passthrough on my R28 Meta v3.0. When I have the volume on android on max and play a movie(Kodi, Youtube etc..). The passthrough is dropping out and in every 10-30s, however if I lower the volume one step, the problem kicks in one time every hour. It doesn't matter if the audio is PCM, DD or DTS.

With this said, the ROM is pretty stable and good. When I lower the volume one level, videoplayback with the new SPMC 14.1 is very smooth and with working DD and DTS passthrough.

I tried to have the volume lower than full, it still muted hence why I tried the fix, looks like different solutions for different configurations.

I try a lot applications and for videos, I think Rockplayer2 is the best one for 4k h265 on rk3288 too (I allready use it on all my devices)...I try Sintel and Big Buck Bunny videos and there's no lag (as in SPMC) except small ones when downloading something in background.

It's even a little better than videoplayer from your rom...

I'm still looking for a great audio player with no stuttering when listening music during web browsing
