New firmware: 140822

There is a new Firmware availalble on the official forums:

Changelog is:

1. Fixed Ethernet issue
2. Support H.265
3. Fixed 720p display issue

Here are my test results:
- Ethernet went from not working to slow (1Mb vs 50Mb with Wifi)
- Antutu score went up : 27000 to 33000
- Some H265 files that were not working are now working

Problems still present:
- Ethernet not working properly
- 2160p@60Hz not present in the display settings (I have a 4K HDMI 2.0 TV)
- Sound still mixed down to Stereo using (HDMI and SPDIF)
- When i change my HDMI source on my TV then come back to the RKM, the display stays black, I have to reboot MULTIPLE times to get it working (but the boot works, I hear the mail sound)
- Using 2160p@30Hz, android is still 1080p scaled up. The only 4K content I can see is the Video Player, I wrote an app that says running in 1080p.

Wifi is still faster than ethernet.
Netflix is still not working.

Yes .... Super snappy ! But I placed back my mk808 as netflix is my preferred app.

Thx, not home atm so cant really test anything, but if helps me get a box that actually works then that would be great :-)

I just tok the kernel.img and flashed that.
Did a speedtest on internet and got 35/40 mbit... So thats improved a lot !!!

Looks like netflix still wont play anything..
Box is still useless for me unless netflix and hbo nordic dont work :-(

Hope next fix takes care of this...
Maybe flashing some of the other files will fix this...

Flashing just the kernel likely did nothing as most these RK3288 firmwares have an embedded kernel in the boot.img which overrides the kernel.img partition. Being that the original MK902ii ROM comes from the same software house, I'm sure it followed a similar convention.

Additionally, when testing something like firmware compatibility with Netflix, I highly recommend flashing all files including boot.img. The boot partition contains drm elements/objects which are necessary for playback of certain content.

It's from a different software house and is better than the 09/11/14 firmware in my opinion, anyway. It is later than the original firmware that shipped with the MK902ii.

I have just purchased a Bluetimes QPro and one option the factory agreed to preinstall was Netflix. So I assume that it works with the ROM they supply otherwise they would not offer to install it and test before shipping.

As mine shipped yesterday I assume the firmware was the same as the one posted by Shomari.

You mean the Ethernet went from very slow to 35/40mbit?
