[Measy b4s] How to get HDMI Passthrough, h265 playback?

Dear all,

I've purchased this Measy b4s box, and it says it can playback 4k, bluray 3d, h265 etc. But I have a number of problems, I hope you guys will help me out:

1) I can only get optical passthrough, not hdmi passthrough. The latter is needed for high quality audio (DTS-HD and better)

2) The default XBMC can't even play a couple of h265 frame before it crashes. I then installed Kodi beta, which plays the h265 but not well at all.

3) I would like to get it rooted. Please point me to the instructions. I read one or two instructions but it requires connection to pc? I need the male-male usb cable?

2) xbmc h265 is a problem at the moment (I think they will it fixing next time)... maybe also have a look at koying's one http://spmc.semperpax.com/ (which you can install parallel to xbmc) BUT if I'm not wrong because of 1) not working at hdmi pass-through...
