If possible, I would need some help with my Rikomagic MK902ii.
I just use it to watch movies in 1080p h265, with HDMI cable connected to a Yamaha dolby surround. I do not need 4k movies.
When I was using stock version 150529 everything was working great with passthrough too.
Then I downloaded some movies ripped in x265 10bit and i could not see them, just hear them, the video was just a bunch of green pixels.
After that I found out they just released 2 new versions:
- version 160314, which uses android 5.1
i tried this but it looks like videos are stuttering now
- version 160511, which is newer but is back on android 4.4
i don't see any differences from version 150529
so my questions:
1) based on my interests (watching 1080p movies in h265 with passthrough) what firmware do you advice to use?
2) Is there a way to install kodi 16.1 and then add all the settings from rikomagic?
3) is there any other software supporting passthrough? I tried also VLC and MxPlayer but it does not work
4) is there any custom firmware working better I should use?
5) this is something some people will hate..is there a way to install windows? and would it bring any optimization regarding passthrough?
6) Any other advices ?
