    ugoos ut3s has not a full hdmi 2.0 out

    it seems that the new ugoos ut3s has a hdmi 2.0 output port, but it could not be used at his max.
    it has a big restriction that it cannot play 10/12 bits 50/60fps 2160p material well.
    it will only support 4-4-4 and 10/12 bits 50/60fps 2160p material needs 4-2-0 or 4-2-2 to back that up.

    lets hope the 10/12 bits 50/60 fps 2160p doesnt become the standard in near future, i think then we will be f..cked with this box

    If I'm not wrong, the RK3288 supports at 4k@60 only 10bit which is RGB444/YUV444 and not 8bit (YUV420)... So if your TV doesn't support 10bit but only 8bit then no way to get 4k@60 (only 4k@30)...

          hmmm, but this is different from the find out at http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...1-4K-60Hz(FPS)

          I also had a look at the 'Rockchip RK3288 datasheet V1.0 20140516' (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...288-Data-Sheet) and have to say, I can find YUV444 only at "Image Post-Processor (embedded inside video decoder)" (page 13) and yes here they talk about 8bit...
          but nothing at HDMI about YUV but about "Up to 10-bit Deep Color modes" (page 18)...

            So if all of the above is true and if the data sheet of rk3288 is true when it says "Up to 10bit" color, then the formula is this -

            rk3288 = 8bit up to 4k@60fps/10bit up to 4k@30fps

            And AFAIK, the only 10bit media out there enmass is anime.

              When you make your buy decision and only look what is available today. You.shouldnt buy a 4k tv at all right.now
              i think.when.you.buy something it has to be future proof
