UT3S Flash partitions

Hi,
is there any description/information about the contents of the UT3S flash when using Ubuntu?
In particular I am interested in:

1. What is the resource partition used for?
2. The boot partition contains an android bootimg. Is the kernel Linux or Android?
3. What's the "misc" partition for? It is filled with 0

Under the section "flashing partition images". Regarding the resource partition:

resource.img : Resource image, containing boot logo and kernel's device tree info.
