New UT3+ Released - UT3+ Firmware Image Released..

Ugoos has announced the release of the UT3+ with HDMI input record and PIP.
    From the Ugoos blog.

Full firmware image for the UT3+ available here. NOTE This firmware is only for the UT3+, not for the UT3 or UT3S. While I imagine this firmware will work on UT3(S) models, some features specific to those models may not work, largely related to HDMI Input function. This firmware is labeled UGOOS_UT3PLUS_V3.0.7. It appears to be 3.0.7 with additions to handle HDMI Input record and PIP functions. The UT3+ uses a different chip to handle HDMI Input than the UT3 does.
Build number is dated 20160708.162212 release-keys.

    Very nice.
I like that the PIP was moved to the Power button, very quick to access with the IR remote.

        .
Agreed. The only drawback noticed so far is audio only from left channel when HDMI In or PIP. The recording is OK

I tried this on my Orion R28 and have to say that it works very well on there too. Just ethernet not working but WiFi is fine.

Video playback through Youtube was excellent at 1080p, MX player excellent and the Ugoos Kodi worked very well except for major issues with video/audio sync with HDMI passthrough, although another custom Kodi in development that I tried worked perfectly in that respect.

bluesmanuk If you look @Settings/Network/Ethernet, other network interfaces(adapters) can be used, so maybe a USB Ethernet adapter can be used.

Over the coming days, I will be updating my review of the UT3+

Yes that is a good point although WiFi over 4Ghz does work very well.
