[Tutorial] Easy root method for Lollipop RK3368 Players (no iRoot)

I don't trust iRoot, which installs a bunch of junk on my device.
    I checked a safer method.

    Step by step:
    1. Flash with Android Tool Release v2.35 - Abdul's TWRP for RK3368 (http://www.solidfiles.com/d/6b57d23c94/ click "Direct download link") on recovery partition (as recovery.img)
    2. Boot player into TWRP recovery mode.
    3. Do it update from SD card or USB Pendrive - UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
    4. Reboot - player should be rooted.

    Regards

    Thanks
No You can't brick. This method flash only recovery partition.
If you have the original firmware, you can always return to stock.

                            Hello,

Are you sure to flash the recovery partition at the correct address (0x00028000)? Perhaps, TWRP recovery was not flashed at the good place?

In stead of "Found one LOADER device" it says "Found one ADB device" . And consequently doesn't work, I get error message "Match device type failed, stop running"

How do I get it to see a LOADER device?

edit: running win10. In device driver list it shows as "Android Device > Android Composite ADB Interface" and as " Unknown > D:" & "Unknown > MTP USB Device".
Tried running RK_DriverAssistant. It does uninstall the win10 drivers, but doesn't install anything itself. Rockusb_Driver_3.5 has no win10 available. I tried 7-x64 and 8-x64 to no avail thus far; should I try to replace the "Android ADB Interface" or the "MTP USB Device" with the Rockusb_Driver?
