Gatos814 provided a link to Nexbox N86 firmware which works for the Nexbox N8 as well. Nexbox N8 box, remote functions, bluetooth and wifi working again! \
Problem solved!
Nexbox N86 and N8 owners: Probably best to download and save for a rainy day. I felt it was important to post for Freaktab users as well.
