    Beelink i68 new original firmware: 5.1.1 LMY49F eng.jw.20161026.095405

Just got a popup with the information for a new firmware update for my Beelink i68 Gigabit version.

    Name: rk3368_box-user 5.1.1 LMY49F eng.jw.20161026.095405
They don't give much informations about the changes they made:
Changelog: 1. Optimization system, 2. Minor bug fixes

Somebody has some more informations about it ? Maybe from other android boxes ?

I think you can only get it if you have the original Beelink firmware installed. I haven't seen an external download so far.

My box sees the OTA update, downloads it and the update procedure starts but after the reboot it fails the installation. Any suggestions?

I've found a solution for my problem: When the OTA update reboots the device to recovery, it stucks in recovery mode, then i've selected Wipe cache data in recovery menu. Then i've rebooted the box and tried again the OTA update and it worked smooth. I've completed all the available updates

Good to hear that there is a solution for that problem. I've updated my box yesterday and there wasn't any problems.

Actually not. I wouldn't expect any update to Android 6.0

If you want to have Android 6.0 take the Wasser Android 6.0.1 Marschmallow - 64bit Firmware for Beelink R68, it works perfectly on I68
version 4.0.2 fixed issue in (un)root the device added menu to specify the region code for WIFI (Settings->Wifi->Advanced Wi-Fi->Wi-Fi region code)

That's a known issue. You have to do the WiFi fix for AP6330 chipset:

WiFi fix using ES file explorer [or similar] as root

                        1. Using ES file explorer [or similar](root) open root
                        2. Go to /etc/firmware and locate nvram_AP6335.txt
                        3. Copy nvram_AP6335.txt to SD card (optional)
                        5. Rename nvram_AP6335.txt to nvram_AP6335.txt.orig
                        6. Rename nvram_AP6330.txt to nvram_AP6335.txt
                        7. Reboot

Wifi is working then but only 2.4 GHz!

Latest stock firmware dated 02/06/17 is available for download.

Tested it on my generic Z4. One plus: it's one of the first stock firmwares to implement IEC 61937 audio for passthrough audio support in multimedia apps such as Kodi 17.

Negative: I found video playback to be poor with this firmware. Too jerky and gets a low score in antutu video tester.
