You can look here http://www.tronsmart.com/?p=3521 Nearly same device. Tronsmart Rom is working on i68. But on Wassers firmware Wlan/Bluetooth isn't working.
So their must be a small difference.
For linux you have to use "Linux Upgrade Tool" from rockchip.
So, if I update with the original tronsmart rom, will everything work?
I'm thinking about update because I want to have root access, but my i68 works great now, and I'm not sure if I will have a big difference
Can someone tell me if it's better beelink r89(3288) or beelink i68(3368) ?
I want to purchase one for an friend.
Thanks

If it's mostly for streaming then the RK3368 is more cost effective.
If it's also for gaming and you want the fastest box then the RK3288 is a better choice as it has a faster CPU & GPU.
Also, does it make any difference whether my i68 supports gigabit ethernet or not? I think it might be one of the early release models that only supports 10/100. I don't want the firmware update to break anything or, heaven forbid, brick the box.

I posted this question about 10 days ago, but no replies. I'd really like to make sure I'm using the correct upgrade tool & instructions before attempting the firmare update.
Is the rom from http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.no/ the same rom as in the first post? Is it also rooted? Also... My i68 is RK3368 and this ROM has RK3369 in the filename. Typo? Will it work for sure?
