TWRP Recovery for Rockchip devices

i can install TWRP3_RK3328-3.1.1-0.img with Official TWRP App

I`ve installed TWRP3_RK3328-3.1.1-0.img trough the TWRP Oficial apk. It`s the only way on my mxr-pro-rk3328 with rk3328_d4_rtl8723_20170919_r1(mxrpro 20170921).img without window$ and obscures chinese software
Then, I`ve backup it, and installed the last Xposed (https://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk25/arm64/) all is working ok!!!

The next adventure it will be to give a try to the MX10 Oreo ROM

Megandaz..... I saw a description of an ANDROID App on some forum that said it could BUILD a TWRP-style recovery image from a working ROM.

Does that sound credible?

To do Root on this TVBOXMX9PRO. Just follow our friend's YouTube video tutorial. "https://youtu.be/_pTkciIuL_A". But be aware, ipotesse no you should upgrade the supersu App that will be installed with this method. And never open the supersu app. Because if it opens it will ask to update the binary,
you can not do that. Well if you update the binary the android will not start any more. You will have to restore the ROM stock in order to use the device again. For neither master reset will recover it. This happened to me and gave me a lot of work to apprehend to restore the rom. Note: If you can do root, even if you do a master reset in the future. A root factory restore will not delete your device and it will be turned on normally. Thank you!

Does anyone know how to get into recovery mode on boxmx9pro when it is off. Because I press the reset button more with a power cable and instead of entering twrp mode so I can select what I want to do. It simply formats the partitions automatically for originals. Thank you!

I used Flashify to flashrecovery img . I was running a rooted 7.1 img first. Loaded flashify and then flashed the twrp img and worked fine. I also use an app I like, REBOOT. Works great. I try not to use TWRP app.

Hi ! I've tried installing it through Flashify, the official app and Android Tool and none of it is working !! When I reboot to recovery it only gives me a black screen..

A new TWRP 3.1.1-0 build for Rockchip RK3328 is available for testing here: TWRP3_RK3328-3.1.1-0.img

On Rockchip devices, the offset to the bootloader message block in the /misc partition is 16384, rather than the usual zero or 2048. Unfortunately, support for BOARD_RECOVERY_BLDRMSG_OFFSET is broken pending a pull request that I've submitted.

Also, there are about a dozen or so command-line arguments (wipe_data, wipe_cache, update_package, etc.) defined in Recovery.cpp, but Rockchip felt the need to add a custom one of their own, "wipe_all". I had to make some tweaks to twrp.cpp after the get_args() call to support that. Remember, the Rockchip RK33 bootloader calls recovery directly with this "wipe_all" command-line argument as part of the factory setup after flashing new firmware, so this really needs to be right or you'll end up with a TWRP boot loop.
