With 2G RAM this would give it the little extra resource to make it a little smoother and good to see a couple of additional USB ports.

Cracking SOC based on what I have seen on the Dolamee D5.

A bit of confusion with the WiFi specs though.

Gearbest site states Support 5G WiFi: No

I can see a few people having fun trying to flash the wrong box firmware.

Not a super fast SoC, but it works well and the extra gig of RAM is always welcome. The 3229 in 2GB trim is a very good budget media player. I like my other 3229/2GB box so much, that this one is now on my list of consideration.

Though not usually a stick guy, I wish this SoC configuration was available in stick form, anybody know of one?

Is it the maturity of the Mali 400 that makes the 3229 such a little sweetheart?

I suspect it's the maturity of Lollipop that's one of the keys to the quality of video playback on the RK3229.

Marshmallow will probably catch up on the AmLogic boxes as the SDK is improved.

Good point about the stick and whilst there are none at the moment, I'm sure that it is just a matter of time before somebody produces one.

Here you go for a stick.

Way to much price for 31 chipset go 3288... I think better ones like v5 ect.

I not sold on 3229.. Not one i see with unified storage. Wouldnt matter if marshmellow but it not coming to this device any time soon. Most locked firmware so ill stick to budget 905x for budget boxes...

I'm not sure that you will find one that much cheaper unless you want Kitkat out of the box.

Little out of my target price range though, looking closer to $30-$35. Yes, could be a pipe dream.
