I have subscription to HBO GO service, and after I installed HBO GO app and tried to play any content, I started getting message that I need to turn off second screen.

So, is there anything I can do to hide my HDMI status from HBO GO app, btw I'm fully unrooted?

There's nothing you can do.
HBO blocks the app from running on tv boxes.
