how to port Leelbox Q1 Rom to V88 Plus or equivalent? Solved

V88 Plus, V88 Mini II, T96R, and so on all share the same hardware, I have tried some firmwarse for all are buggy, the best Rom I have tried is the one from LeelBox Q1, except it doesn't support RTL8723BS wifi, I have tried without success to copy and load the drivers, but it just dont work. anyone can point me to the right direction here?
the LeelBox Qi Rom is here https://www.chinagadgetsreviews.com/...eelbox-q1.html
    ill really appreciate it.

    regards.

    Update:

I managed to get this Rom working. I followed the next procedure, maybe it could be used for other Roms:
    1. Download the Working Rom in my case it were actually 2 Roms, I took the Kernel from this one: https://mega.nz/#!LxVDEbAL!JR5JqEUf3...OuUPXkP%20D7G4 and the Resource and Misc partitions from: https://yadi.sk/d/hhXNm07I3Lypob
    2. Download AndroidTools 2.35 and Rockchip Driver Assistant.zip
    3. Extract both images using Androidtool 3rd tab.
    4. Upgrade the box to the non wifi firmware unsing Androidtools.
    5. go to Androidtool 1st tab and load the Misc, Resource and Kernel from the working wifi one.
    6. Download it to the box.

Thank you, Im actually trying KingboxRK without success, What I have accomplish as of yesterday was to install TWRP, but for some reason I cant change any folder on system, so I cant install the drivers, Ill try today by creating a flasheable zip file for TWRP to see if it works. ill update the progress here. thanks,

I managed to create a installable zip file, with the drivers from a working Rom, and tried but it just freeze at boot,
I also tried replacing the kernel from the working Rom but same results,
today ill try just flash the rtl8723.ko file and load it alone, and see if that works. thanks.

I managed to get wifi working by simple replacing the Boot partition by one from a working Rom, but, now it is like the other Rom, the HDMI doesn't show 60Hz for 4K, and I lost Root.
my biggest issue is that any change on the boot.img freeze the box.
              thanks.

yes it's not the right TWRP. There are a lot of TWRP versions for v88 and if I remember right most are trash and don't work right but there is definitely a version that works out there.

Thank you PaulieP I already managed to get the wifi working on the Kingbox Rom that I wanted and it was really simple is just that I had no experience at all, what I did was to install the Kingbox Rom, then flash the Kernel, Misc and Resource partitions from a working Rom, and that was it.

If you say you already have a Leelbox Q1 and you want to update it, then you just use AndroidTool and the right firmware to update it.
there are so many totorials already out there for example this one:

but if you say, you already have another box that works with the leelbox q1 firmware but you get no Wifi, thats about the subject of this post, then you have to read the updated part of the post, I added steps to accomplish that.

AndroidTool app have 3 tabs, the first tab you can flash partitions individually, in the second one you can flash the full firmware and the 3rd tab you can unpackage the firmware image.

the WIFI drivers are in the kernel, misc and resources partitions, so you can take a working Rom, unpackage it, then having flashsed a non working firmware, you can overwrite those partitions from a working Rom using the Androidtol first tab.

I cant go into much more detail as Id have to write a several pages tutorial to do that, but you can find specific steps on other posts on how to do that.

                      good luck.

Do you have a compiled version of the firmware with wifi running? My knowledge is basic, please follow your instructions and do it, but maybe it would be easier if you could send me the firmware with Wi-Fi working? since I have read your guides and notes to do it, and honestly I did not succeed = (
