MXQ Pro 4k (Unidentified Board) - Help to Unbrick

Hi! I have an MXQ Pro 4k with Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) preinstalled. Inside Kodi, it identified the board as RK3229. The Wifi chip is RTL8723AS. I tried to flash a Stock rom (Android 6.0 -RK3229) to try flashing for the first time. I flashed it with Rockchip Batch Tool. After successful flash, I disconnected the usb cord from the console. I tried it on the tv and the tv box did not boot up and only has a dim red light on it. Before it was a blue light. I think that my tv box was bricked. Could you help me out to unbrick my device and Identify what board I have?

From your pics your board reads as R29_MXQ_221_V1.0 or R_MXQ_LP3_V1.0

Hi Freddy! I already did short the pins and entered into maskrom device, however, all the Roms I downloaded, doesn’t seem to work at all. All of them seems to stop at download boot fail. Do you know roms that could work on my board?

        Okay
        Been there before myself
There are so many variables /factors trying to unbrick.....

        Try the thread by Gustav
        lots of roms there
        Follow instrutions to the letter
Different tools use other driver assist you must uninstall and reinstall new driver assist
Also note to select restore not upgrade in batch tool...

        And many other factors

Thank you for the info freddy. I downloaded the roms and tried to install and uninstall driver assistant from 4.5 to 4.8. But all the roms (downdloaded from gustav’s post) I restore stop at “wait for loader fail”. Same error appears on Rockchip Batch Tool 1.8, Factory Tool 1.52 and RK Android Tool 2.39. How can I get pass this error?

              Most Excellent Tip
Good read, similar idea to amlogic sd bootcard maker.

There is also FactoryTool_v1.68.02 it worked for me when all others failed
              Have recovered/unbricked a Scishion v 88 4 k using it .
There is no driver assist to worry about
It can be found at rockchip-linux/tools github

              Dont give up reinaldkurt
              You will succeed

When Factorytool/batch tool finally lights up green
              And reads as OK suceessful
A little grin will start to form at the corners of your mouth
It will widen to a smile from ear to ear
Your eyebrows will raise eyes widen
              Maybe a fist pump
You might even stand and shout "IM THE MAN"

              Happy Testing

Hi gefattern, do you have a download link for Android Tool v.2.51 or higher as mentioned in Haizenbergs post?

Steps for repairing IDB failure are: 1-use Andriodtool v 2.51 or higher 2-you have to have a working loader (you can unpack any working rom using andriodtool by going to _Advanced Function_ and from here download a working firmware and unpack it by pressing unpack. Note, you can find the (loader) in (output folder created by
