The reviews on this box http://bit.ly/sub40bucks look good and i only have max $40 to spend. I bought a Xiaomi Mi box but it causes green lines all over my TV, anyone know why ?

However I thought that the issue was solved.. with the latest OTA update..
Check if there are updates for your mi-box
Check manual of TV some support Color space changes in settings

Note.. buying a new tvbox..might not solve your green stripe issue.. aka new box might give you the same results

About the 40 bucks new device... it depends on your use case
If its to watch Netflix then the rk3318 might be limited to 560p

I agree with mitchell4you about fire stick 4K. It was recently $35 here in Canada. Probably be that again Boxing Day or something.
For under $40 your not going to get much. But the fire stick is very good but.
