Running Android 7.1.1....
A few issues with Google Playstore and a few Apps not Compatible this will get sorted in due time.
Launcher installed cannot add Apps to Favorites Home screen, only those that were preinstalled so nothing major.
Apps that I could not install Via Google Play Installed OK thru Aptoide.
3Dmark not happy would often crash

But as always early days for this unit and a bit of updating etc should bring it in to line.

UI, cant add apps to the + at present.

Specs say Mali400MP2 , but Screenshots Mali450MP2 ,

why not using a better GPU , Gaming not really possible

with this Device !!!

Looks like a general Typo on a few of these 3328 models

Will say it does Play Videos very well as I found late last night most I threw at worked well using RKMC that was installed
So more for media than games I feel

Looks interesting and also firmwares available.
Anyone know how Android 7 on RK3328 compares to Android 7 on Amlogic S905X devices/firmwares I saw on freaktab?
Probably better.
I saw it still uses a 3.10 kernel, maybe only RK3399 uses a 4.4 kernel(even Marshmallow) or all Nougat firmware will in future, don't know?
But in Rockchip's Github, the 4.4 kernel code also has support for RK3328 so it might be possible to upgrade it in the future.

It's a pitty that device able to play 4k video but has hd (1280x720) internal resolution

Are there any links to the OEM firmware that don't involve installing BaiduNetdisk? That app is riddled with malware, and it takes forever for me to set up a sacrificial VM just to download one file.

Also, has anyone tried to root this box? And is there a TWRP build available for it?

BTW, have you noticed that the stock recovery on this can't read from the SD card slot? If you attempt to apply an update from the SD card, it reports "-- Couldn't mount /sdcard . Installation aborted."
