i tried all test builds and with http://test.libreelec.tv/LibreELEC-RK3328.arm-9.0-devel-20180417095928-r28482-ga934092-rockbox.tar
the RC is working and no blinking LED, but power on still doesnt work. Seems the shutdown / power off in Kodi is causing it?
even with removed sd card i have to replug power connection to get it powered on for android

        Hi

        For Android
Long press the power button, then it will show a menu.
        Select Sleep to power off.
When wanting to power on again, short press the power button again.

If you choose shutdown, it will power off completely, even the ir receiver won't get a signal from the ir remote.

        ------------------

Good to know about the remote in LibreELEC.
I will build a new version this weekend with the remote and LED changes and add addon support.
I see the latest changes from Kwiboo isn't merged yet into LibreELEC, I will see if I can include all the changes, maybe the updated kernel changes also add power changes.
The power is maybe a Kodi problem and it needs to enter standby/sleep mode instead of complete power off, I will check if I find something to help.
There is an Advanced Power addon for Kodi/LibreELEC, maybe somehow it can help and work better than the libreELEC power icon?
Check if you have this setting to change suspend: System -> System -> Power saving - Shutdown function (Enable Expert Settings first)

          Hi Mo,

by default power saving is disabled
i flashed trn9 image, used dtb from rockbox and enabled suspend: Open sleep.conf and remove this line: SuspendMode=false
          reboot
changed to suspend in LE but power on doesnt still work (RC and power button)

          hard one this power thing.
do you have a link for this addon? i will test it then

You should work for LE :-D

I'm trying to find out if there is a way to use suspend instead of a complete shutdown when powering off.
If someone knows how to do it, please share.

              new fork, https://github.com/CoreELEC/CoreELEC/releases

a new build with latest kwiboo commits will be created soon.

i hope the audio dropouts will be solved soon, it makes no fun. kwiboo seems to be working on other topics.

              any news regarding the shutdown?

I thought audio was working better in LibreELEC or only a problem in CoreELEC?
I see kwiboo updated the patch for mainline LibreELEC but not merged it yet.
I see this is disabled for Rockchip, so have to find out why - https://github.com/CoreELEC/CoreELEC...91512fa428b0b3
so it seems something to do with the kernel, systemd support, wonder if there are new changes for it.

Here are new LibreELEC images I made yesterday.
Need to unzip to get an .img file then burn with Etcher Windows/Linux tool to a micro-sd card.
Then boot with the microsd card inserted, remove again to use Android.
A cross-platform tool to flash OS images onto SD cards and USB drives safely and easily. Free and open source for makers around the world.

It uses an orange or red D-pad ir remote

The latest LibreELEC code has lots of improved video playback for Rockchip devices.
I haven't tested it properly yet.
The LED lights might still be broken, I didn't check it before building the images.

                      Please test new images
Yesterdays ones had a bug with high cpu usage and problems playing HEVC videos.
I will probably make new images again to test mpeg2 deinterlacing.

                        Hi there,
I´d like to test the new MVR9 releases of libreelec. currently I´ve already tested

                        Bqeel MVR9 RK3328
                        https://mega.nz/#!dBEHTRJK!HSTl_5U7Z...mZkn-bHi9-Im50

....the major issue with it is that no further improvements concerning RK3328 media abilities are included. the current nightlies under http://test.libreelec.tv/ they have included these improovements...(Mainline based ?

In my case...the testbuilds (...-box) does NOT include any PVR-clients. at least (even by zip archive) I cant install any tvheadend client :-(. The major thing i´d like to test is "deinterlacing" in live TV (Europe e.g. soccer at 1080p 50hz).

Reason: TVheadend is not in the linked repository, or not working or cant be installed because of dependencies restrictions :-(....do you have an solution, to test live tv (especially deinterlacing capabilities) of the RK3328 releases ?

The MVR9 box, including Megabit-Lan, USB3 etc. is an amazing Box for the price, Linux, or Libreelec running , (including deinterlacing, in my case) would be the killer-App !!!!

                        regards

                          got my MVR9 box today

                          installed this : http://kwiboo.libreelec.tv/test/Libr...ox-trn9.img.gz

the Kodi Version in this build has an issue with 1980x1080i Screen Resolution ( won´t work, takes 1280x720p)
Blue LED is blinking and remote not working..
Using a Voso Airmouse in the meantime

Could not add LE addons, copied them from another device.

Does your special dtb. file still work with this build? what about the remote?

Or do I have to wait for kwiboos next release ?

                            Hi

Kwiboo will release a new version in 2-3 days he said.
It should support deinterlacing, at the moment the code only supports normal mpeg2 through ffmpeg, not standalone mpeg2 with deinterlacing support.
The UI should also be a lot faster.
Latest kernel, video codecs and Kodi, LibreELEC changes should be included.
I usually add small changes afterwards for the remote, blinking LED etc.
The developer that had his own LibreELEC repository with addons left LE and disabled all his things, so I can't use his repo anymore in my builds, it worked well in the past.
I read in the LE forums they are still waiting for some changes for RK3328 until they activate the LE repo for it.
I think you can install Kodinerds repo too.
But I'm waiting for the new build by Kwiboo before I do new tests, think he will also add working repo support.
I will send you the dtb later, then you can test if it works on the Kwiboo build to fix the remote and LED.

The nightly builds on the LE site don't have the latest Rockchip changes merged yet so they will run a lot worse at the moment.
The latest changes are tested by Kwiboo, after things work well, he helps to get his changes merged into LE after LE developers review the changes.
The thing is Kodi and LibreELEC code change so much in 2 weeks that patches all need to be re-based to be compatible with new code and that is a bit difficult to do.
I included a different LE repo in the past from a user then you could install all addons but he left LE and disabled all his things.
I read Kwiboo will also try to fix the LE repo support in his build since it's not added by LE Team yet until more RK3328/RK3399 changes are done and devices have 100% support.

Did you try deinterlacing on Android, it is supported on my firmware.
I will upload a new firmware in a few hours too with the mpp deinterlacing support which is a bit sharper instead of VPU legacy deinterlacing currently used.
