As far as I know, this is a closed platform Xiaomi and you will not be able to run anything other than the regular Android.

Got one of these the other day - was wondering if root/twrp was possible? I've tried using the rockchip factory tool to flash a twrp image that I found here on the forums (http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...ckchip-devices) for rk3328 devices, but after installing the drivers and enabling usb debugging, I can't for the life of me get the rockchip tool - or my laptop for that matter - to even recognise that the device is plugged in.

Trying to flash the same twrp img using a signed zip (from the same previous post) through the stock recovery - I get an error that system isn't mounted. ADB through the stock recovery also isn't recognised as connected by the laptop, and if I choose to reboot to bootloader, I just get a blank screen and have to power cycle the device.

Not holding out much hope for this - got it as an impulse buy, it's my first android "set top" box, but after further reading into the different boxes available, it seems like I might have more luck getting what I want with a mibox 3 and the atvxperience rom (https://www.atvxperience.com/), or any other device besides this one, for that matter. There's surprisingly little information out there other than specs and reviews on the AI ONE, and there's not even much of that.

rk3328_8.1_box_RX4B_RTL8723CS_zhongx_20180822_V13. zip After you put the firmware. Just dont do a system update on your box menu. do a factory reset on your box and then do a system update. I did it like that and updated with no problem. Do it the way I tell you.

rk3328_8.1_box_RX4B_RTL8723CS_zhongx_20180822_V13. zip After you put the firmware. Just dont do a system update on your box menu. do a factory reset on your box and then do a system update. I did it like that and updated with no problem. Do it the way I tell you.

Tv Box memory 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM. Installed FactoryTool from that even. I plugged the cord into the PC.
Launched the program. I chose the firmware (firmware).
Toothpick pressed the TV BOX reset until it clicked and held until it inserted the USB cable into the TV BOX in the leftmost socket (not blue).
The program identified the port. Let go of the toothpick. Clicked start (Run).
TV BOX was sewn. I pressed the stop. He pulled the cord. Described as I could.
