    MX9 Pro 4+32 ROOT [ABANDONED]

Hello, for the past couple days i tried to root my tv box mx9 pro 4+32GB and finally got it to load SuperSU after fresh update flash

firmware a9s_rk3328_d4_ap6255_20180705_r1(mx9pro 隐藏kodi无插件) [Updated version if someone needs ill upload]

    Unofficial changelog:

    - launcher can be switched
    - overall performance improved
    - advanced display settings

I still have to test my method with another box (rk 3328) to try if it works solid.

i have good news, i was able to reproduce the situation:

          Steps:

          prerequisite:

install twrp port by Magendanz use offset 16384
          (
          http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...ckchip-devices)

download busybox zip file, place on internal storage

in settings tick connect to PC
          use command: adb reboot recovery
install busybox zip file, reboot device

          1. download RooTByadritecNews
          2. install WifiADB
          3. enable adb over wifi in developer settings
          4. run root_u1.bat
          5. follow bat instructions

Now comes the tricky part, dont let the root_u1.bat reboot the tv box, close the window

as i said earlier we need to factory reset the device via android settings, after reboot we now have working SuperSU with working binary preinstalled.

NOTE: this is temporary root (binary goes missing after user issue reboot) im trying to figure out how to keep the binary after reboot
          ATTENTION: this involves factory reset!

At this point i cant do more, im not a developer, this method gives temporary root , problem is the locked bootloader removes root at next startup.
I hope some more developers can use this information.

The goal is to find some way to load super su without wiping the data at startup

                    Hi ,

that is the Point , thought RK Boxes "bootloader" are not locked , maybe this is the Reason

why so many Users end up in bricked Boxes , because they tried to flash other Roms , can

u please discribe how you did that , useful for others too , greetings / gefattern

i have found the solution, it depends what firmware is installed via flashtools, some dont allow root no matter what.

i will post tutorial later today
