You wont know unless you try it!

First, if you never done firmware flashing. Find your stock ROM and flash it to the device to make sure you know how the process is suppose to be performed with original firmware. Then you can try flashing other firmwares like this HK1 firmware, and if anything goes wrong you already know how to flash it back to stock.
