Built in youtube app failing to upgrade on H96 android 8.1 or 9

The non "C" version of firmware youtube fails to run and goes to Google play to upgrade. This fails as the message is "This app isn't compatible with your device anymore..." see attached screen shots

The OS has been rooted and the Youtube app has been deleted. The current youtube app from Google has been installed and be running like any new app does.How does one make this app as a substitute for the original Youtube app

I think they preinstall YouTube for Android TV.
This is a hacked app and can't be updated in Playstore.
Use the normal YouTube app.
