So far I found a Lot of Apps not compatible from Google Play Store
A quick install of Aptoide has fixed this problem.
Disappointing in the excuse they used for a heat sink. but they must know what there doing
Also the IR pickup is a failure for the remote they good thing is they supplied a dongle for the remote.

As mentioned earlier some problem as present with Google Play store and some APPS

All apps used for testing I loaded thru APTOIDE

A quick test with FTMC, could get SPDIF top work with some audio and HDMI Pass thru
But it was a mixed bag of what would or would not work.
A bit more needed on the R99 to make it 100%




I found in FTMC a lot of .MP4 Video files Green Screen, would not play .VP9 and not to happy playing .TS files.
The Built in Video player could play some of the .MP4 and .TS files but not all

Early days, as always with something New
I feel this RK3399 unit has a slightly better start.

hello, I got one similar unit to this same board and everything is the same. but unit powers on but no display. tried restoring the firmware
but get an error saying " download idb fail" I read forums saying it needs a nand flash to get it back. what can I do to fix this? thanks

Get in touch with supplier and ask them to supply rom nothing around yet out in the field.

I just received mine yesterday and I'm having issues as well. After a few seconds, the device stops responding to inputs. Also every time i power it on, it duplicates the icons in the shortcut tray at the bottom. ie. netflix is now there 3x. The only changes I have made from factory is i turned on the hotspot feature, removed some short cuts, and logged into my google account to download plex and antutu. I'm wondering if maybe wifi hotspot is causing it to overheat?

Kodi 17.1 installed problems with some playback

Installed FTMC 26 (current) 101% better VP9, TS files played
MP4 1080p would green screen.
MP4 2160p would play fine
UI is the same, as above for the R99 as above.

Not 100% yet but getting closer.
