    Android 7.1.2 Nougat ???
    Minix can't spend money and develop at bare minimum a Pie firmware, that is ridiculous.
    Sale price is quoted at being $180 for this new device, it looks nice but not worth it if you're getting just a Nougat rom.

      Needs to start someplace, what 3399 box has arrived on the scene been 100% and up and running.....Day 1 ?
      I feel this will get better in due Time, like most Minix wares

      You're to Quick to Judge a book by its cover I feel
      It will happen not just over night.

        Nope, have to disagree, it is poor form lately from Minux, they put together a nice piece of hardware but it is flawed in the software. The rk3399 is not a "new" chip, they had years to develop a competitive offering with the rk3399. Rockchip is even already pushing there Vendors to start adopting their Android 10 SDKs for their line of chips.

        The only way this new device makes sense is if Minix are trying to do what RKM does and cater to only commercial business clients, to sell in bulk, and have their devices used in stores, kiosks, and digital signage.

          Well Yes correct as you mention:
          Not intended for the Typical Freaktab/Home user
          More for commercial clients – for digital signage projects etc….

          So the problems even tho there was not one is no more

            If they are targeting commercial uses then they should show more in the marketing as to why their product is superior in a way that makes it of commercial grade quality.

              bluesmanuk True, I agree with you.

              But, I also didn't fully read the Flyer that Robert posted -skipped right to reading the specs, but right under the TV picture it says:
              "Industrial Android Player, designed exclusively for digital signage and commercial usage."

                  There are no settings that should be in A7 Rockchip:

                  - adjustment of brightness, contrast;
                  - color selection: RGB, YUV, RGB-fix (no reset RGB after reboot);
                  - ethernet PPPoE is not working.
