the firmware I am using on my box , HK1 RBOX R2 , have 4Kp50 and 4kp60 under settings as well

and currently don’t have a 4K display here , to take a picture , I did the hdr test on my parents house .. connected to a 2021 Samsung 4K tv

at this moment it’s connected to a 1080p monitor , so no 4K options shown under resolution settings

Duh .. and once you do that your TV changes mode and shows you the current mode like in my screenshots , that’s why it’s not showing the “HDR” word on the shot where no video is playing

I posted a picture of the TV playing on 1080p60p hdr mode , and another one , at 4k60p HDR ... explain how do you “set” a different TV mode than the device RESOLUTION

no need to show any setting , screen , resolution ... it’s already shown on the TV you play the video ...

this is what I did , downloaded from YouTube webm 4k60HDR videos. (webm , not mp4) ... and opened these files with “media center” or legacy video player .... only these apps use rk3566 hardware for decoding And playing in HDR mode ... any other player (software , YouTube , vlc , kodi ) are not using hardware decoding or HDR mode switch

I am using HK1 RBOX R2 (rk3566). ... all these different brands come from the same factory , they just change the label

is it to be only "FAT" or is it FAT32 possible?

I used the update zip

Download zip place on usb stick (needs to be fat formated usb ) ( ntfs doesn't work )
place usb in usb port reboot...then you get a popup " update found...install ? yes or no "
Then its a waiting game...took like 15min
